NEH is a grant-making agency of the government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. NEH is the nation's largest public funder of the humanities, which include the study of modern and classical languages, linguistics, literature, history, jurisprudence, philosophy, archaeology, comparative religion, ethics, the history of the arts, and those aspects of the social sciences which have humanistic content and use humanistic methods.
Major duties: Staff Management. Representation of Program. Budget, Oversight, and Evaluation. Management of the Review Process. Development and Implementation of Agency Policies. Education: A Master's degree in a discipline of the humanities is required (a Ph.D. is preferred).
