This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1204000 and is part of the NJ CSMS 1, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to perform field and sustainment maintenance and repair on moderately complex electronics equipment and systems. Major duties: As a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, WG-2604-10, you will: Repair or replace chassis mounted components.

Isolate and diagnose cause of circuit/component malfunction. Conduct inspection, diagnose nature and extent of equipment malfunction. Perform initial and final checks and may perform inspections when required on equipment being repaired. Inspector on a Command Maintenance Evaluation Team (COMET) on electronic, automation, communication, and equipment. Requirements: Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency.

Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest. Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Military Grade: Min: E-3 and Max: E-6 Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
