This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As an Engineering Equipment Operator you will primarily operate a crawler-type tractor with bulldozer or angle dozer attachment in connection with revetment construction and related river and level work.
-The duty location will be wherever the Mat Sinking Unit is located. Major duties: Constructs and maintains haul roads, loading ramps and drainage ditches.,Operates a bulldozer equipped with a bulldozer blade on the rear, for stabilizing, in winching a specially-designed mat-pulling attachment when bank conditions require.,Operates tractor in moving mooring cables, dragging equipment, and serving as temporary anchor for floating plant.,Excavate earth to fine specifications from engineering stakes to determine degree/angle of fine grading.,Systematically inspects, service tests, adjusts, and lubricates all equipment to maintains continuous service or ready for service.,Assists general mechanical repairs, including major overhaul and reconditioning.
