Food Service Worker

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Bassett Army Community Hospital to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Wainwright, Alaska Major duties: Serve as a cashier, operating the Point of Sale cash register system, collecting cash from customers, making exact change, and safe guarding cash according to established procedures.,Help deliver loaded food carts to the hospital wards for meal service to the patients meeting meal delivery times in accordance with section standards.,Manually or using mechanical equipment, wash heavy pots and pans, dishes, trays, and serviceware from the kitchen, dining room, catering functions and patient care units.,Clean and sanitize dishroom and pot and pan areas to include countertops, dishwashing machine, dish racks, tray return, scrapping sinks floors, and pot and pan machine.,Disassemble trays returned from dining area, and dispose of waste in accordance with established safety and sanitation procedures.
