About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Prioritize the hearing conservation screening schedule and audiologist diagnostic schedule and lead health technicians through daily responsibilities in support of Hearing Readiness, annual, pre-deployment, post deployment and in/out processing.,Coordinate, schedule, and provide instruction for Army Hearing Program technician certification training workshops as well as reserving local course training sites.,Conduct regular full life cycle management and first-echelon equipment maintenance of hearing test, noise measurement and hearing protection hardware/software systems.,Assist in preparing installation, regional, and enterprise reports and metrics using several report systems in addition to other data analysis systems.,Track hearing aids and custom hearing protection orders from initialization through fitting and take silicone impressions for custom hearing protection orders and hearing aids.,Maintain Remote Order Entry System (ROES) access to order hearing aids, batteries and hearing aid supplies as directed by the audiologist(s).,Assist in preparing, disseminating and staffing Army Hearing Division marketing, educational and informational outreach and strategic communication materials and booths.
Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
