The primary purpose of this position is to perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting worker duties in the installation, modification, and repair of buildings, structures, and other construction projects. Major duties: -Performs minor construction and repair on existing structures involving standard measurements, specifications, instructions, and basic shop mathematics.
-Following specific information, locates and makes repairs to plumbing that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, replacing, packing, and sealing defective parts of utility, supply, and disposal systems, such as dirty traps, sections of broken tile or pipe, and leaky drains using existing routes, openings, hangers, and levels. -Prepares surfaces, mixes and prepares coating material, and applies coating materials.
-Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. -Uses and maintains tools and equipment.
