Major duties: DO-2210-02 - Position duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for guiding a team in the daily operations of scientific networks, servers, client support administration, telecommunications, wireless communications, software license management and central computer facility. Establishes performance standards and evaluates performance for the branch. Provides professional competence in applying foundations of information technology in the support and management of network architectures that satisfy the laboratory's scientific research missions integrating DoD, Air Force, AFMC, AFRL, and local requirements to maximize and provide continuous, leading edge computing capabilities.
Helps manage and oversee network architecture planning, project schedules, software and hardware testing and integration, resource allocation, and IT project costs, including hardware and software requirements. Accomplishes additional duties as assigned to support the greater AFRL mission.
