About the Position: The position is located in a Cardiology office inside Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Work hours are Monday- Friday 0730-1600. On call and overtime may be required. We specialize in doing cardiac fitness for duty testing, preoperative cardiac clearances, and management of chronic conditions with a goal of minimizing readmission rates. Patient population: adults, active duty, adult dependents and veterans.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Serving inpatient and outpatients for cardiac evaluation, testing and follow up in the cardiology clinic.,Triage patients, start IVs, perform follow up nurse visits, refill medications and cover procedural area as needed.,Familiarization with cardiac medications, moderate sedation, set up/maintain sterile field, and assist with procedures, chronic conditions, and the ability to communicate and educate patients.,Performs independent, comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging, and facilitates care coordination through a multidisciplinary approach.,Provides patient education as an integral part of the services offered.,Assists clinic with patient and staff education.
