About the Position: This Nurse (Clinical) GS-0610-11 position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Director for Nursing, located in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Major duties: Obtains patient history.,Collects and interprets health information, identifies wellness and risk factors, along with variations from norms, and makes an assessment.,Sets up, operates, and monitors medical equipment; maintains awareness of the patient's condition and takes appropriate action as needed.,Performs comprehensive assessments of patient/family members' learning needs and limitations.,Educates patients/family members/significant others in the principles of health prevention and promotion to encourage and enhance a state of wellness.
