About the Position:This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre, in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On an as-needed basis, employees occupying these positions provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1-year. At management's discretion, the appointment may be extended for up to a maximum of 3-years or converted to a term appointment for up to a maximum of 6-years.

Major duties: Serve as Senior Program Manager providing management and operational control over assigned programs.,Apply expert knowledge of effective management principles and practices in conjunction with policies, regulations, and procedures.,Manage a variety of natural disaster and emergency programs and projects critical to the execution of the mission.,Coordinate and integrate broad programs undertaken by the agency at numerous locations under diverse conditions.,Develop standard methods and procedures to be used throughout the agency in managing natural disasters and emergency projects and funds.,Initiate corrective actions in coordination with the agency and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other customers.,Represent the agency in planning and review conferences with customers to ascertain operational requirements and future plans.,Develop and submit budgets for natural disasters and emergency projects for the agency.
