This position is located in the Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA), Data Division (DD), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Relocation expenses will not be paid. THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MAY BE USED TO FILL ADDITIONAL POSITIONS WITHIN 90 DAYS. Major duties: As Associate Division Chief, the incumbent serves as subject matter expert and advisor, providing leadership and oversight to a professional staff of data scientists, economists, IT Specialist, and other professional and technical employees.

The Supervisory Industry Economist has responsibility for (a) providing OEA economic analysis oversight, strategic planning, policy recommendations, and establishing goals and objectives for economics, standards, data models, modeling, and simulation; (b) working with OEA senior leadership to provide program guidance and/or advice; (c) overseeing the coordination and implementation of data analytics, economic research, strategy, regulations, Executive Orders, OMB Circulars, and Agency goals and objectives; (d) managing data and economic analytics from planning through execution; (e) providing senior-level analytic and technical support to Bureaus and Offices, and (f) supervising data scientists, economists, IT specialists, project managers, and other staff.

The incumbent reports to the Chief of the Data Division and/or other OEA leadership on specific assignments, projects and initiatives. Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must: -Currently be employed in the Federal Communications Commission in positions serving under career or career conditional appointments. ALL FCC EMPLOYEES MUST provide a legible Personnel Action, SF-50, that verifies your status and highest permanently held grade.
