This Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist serves as Section Chief and will be responsible for leading intelligence research and analysis efforts aimed at mitigating transportation security risks through the analysis of all-source intelligence and the production and dissemination of finished intelligence. Major duties: This Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist position is located in the Threat Analysis Division, Intelligence, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Duties include but are not limited to: Serves as Section Chief responsible for managing a team that assesses open-source, operational, vetting, and all-source intelligence information; develops timely intelligence reports, products, and memoranda on adversary tactics, and threats or risks to domestic and international transportation sectors; and engages with internal and external partners and customers.

Monitors intelligence reporting and oversees analysis and production aligned with TSA priority intelligence requirements, office objectives, and emerging customer requests. Applies broad policies and objectives as general guidance while exercising considerable discretion to develop new and innovative approaches to address complex issues. Oversees the production of products and briefings on threats and risks to transportation equities for TSA policymakers, operational components, and/or private industry at headquarters and/or in the field, enabling customers to implement new rules, regulations, and policies in response to evolving threats.

Develops standard operating procedures, policies, and guidance to ensure team's compliance with policies for conceptualizing, researching, writing, editing, and disseminating specialized analyses on terrorist, nation state, or other threats to transportation security. Collaborates with divisional leadership to develop customer engagement strategies and training plans, and develop standard operating procedures, policies, and guidance to ensure compliance.

Serves as a first-line supervisor for the organization, assigning work, setting priorities, and reviewing and evaluating the work and performance of subordinates. Approves leave, coaches and develops employees, and recommends corrective or disciplinary actions as appropriate. Assists in budget planning and projecting short-term resource needs and manages projects within assigned resources. Resolves routine problems that impact the objectives of the organizational unit and, when required, coordinate with customers and stakeholders outside the immediate organization.

Requirements: You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National. You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application. You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Selective Service registration is required. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance level. You may be required to complete a one-year supervisory trial period.
