Create magical memories as hearts beat to the rhythm of Mexican music, art and culture – embraced by the warmth of our Four Seasons “familia.” Be You The Accounting Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
Is responsible for supervising other areas within the Finance Department under the direction of the Assistant Director of Finance, including Income Audit, Accounts payable, General cashiering and General accounting in accordance with all related local and corporate policies and procedures. Knowledge and Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience in Hotel Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings Require a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures. Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills. Sun, iScala and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued.
Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in both Spanish and English language Master Your Craft Strong understanding of the month-end process, including financial statements, accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and corporate standards. Assist the Assistant Director of Finance with budgets, forecasts, and annual labor budgets in coordination with Department Heads.
Maintain and coordinate monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies and outstanding items are investigated and resolved. Complete daily, monthly, and periodic accounting and financial reporting accurately and on time, including ensuring income is properly recorded and the Daily Business Report is generated accurately. Coordinate physical inventory counts and ensure accuracy of counts, pricing, and valuation.
Safeguard cash assets through bank reconciliations, cash counts of all issued banks, including the General Cashier, and report discrepancies to the Assistant Director of Finance. Assist with month-end adjustment journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules/work papers for financial analysis, internal controls, and internal/external audits. Maintain knowledge of the current USALI edition and hotel policies regarding records control, security, retention, and disposal.
