Banner North Colorado Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and outcomes-driven leader to serve as Associate Director of Sterile Processing . In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department, leading a dedicated team of certified sterile processing technicians in instrument tray assembly, case cart management, equipment sterilization, and supply coordination.

You will be accountable for quality standards, staff development, and ensuring that physicians have the sterile instruments and supplies needed for every surgical procedure. This role requires a strong leader who holds themselves and their team to the highest level of accuracy and compliance — someone who understands the critical importance of sterile processing and is committed to elevating expectations, building accountability, and driving continuous improvement.

Additional responsibilities include financial oversight, vendor management, equipment replacement projects, and collaborative partnership with Perioperative Services. This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position with a general schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM . Hours may vary based on department needs, and as a senior leader, you will maintain 24/7 accountability for the department, which may include availability outside of normal business hours, on weekends, and during holidays. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the effective direction, management, and operation of all functions of the Central Sterile Processing department in maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe surgical instrument management.

Leads in the development, analysis, preparation and implementation of strategic financial and operational plans to achieve overall system and entity strategic goals and objectives supporting PeriOp, Hospital Departments, and supported clinics. Provides analytical support for both financial and operational goals, which includes analyzing processes and identifying opportunities for improvements in operational practices and procedures.
