Student Opportunities   On ‑ Site | Tiverton, Ontario | May 2027 or September 2027 Work Term   More than one position available   Bruce Power is offering Engineering Development Student roles for 4 ‑ month, 8 ‑ month, or 12 ‑ month work terms for students currently enrolled in an Engineering undergrad program.

Engineering Development Students are embedded within one of our core engineering groups, supporting operational priorities, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Engineering Areas Include:  Design Engineering   Design Engineering develops solutions that support safe and reliable station operations. The team provides engineering expertise for equipment upgrades, asset management initiatives, sustaining capital, and major projects.

By developing technical designs, establishing engineering standards, and advancing digital engineering tools, Design Engineering helps improve efficiency and performance across the project lifecycle. Reactor Safety Engineering   Reactor Safety Engineering safeguards the plant’s design and licensing basis through safety analysis, risk assessment, fuel and physics engineering, and fitness-for-service evaluations.

As a technical authority, the team helps ensure regulatory compliance and supports the long-term safe operation of the station. Station Engineering   Station Engineering provides direct, front-line engineering support to operations, maintenance, outages, and work management. The team resolves emergent issues, supports the execution of station work, and ensures engineering requirements are met to maintain safe and reliable station operations.

Key Responsibilities:  Gather and analyze engineering data to support business decisions  Assist engineers with technical evaluations and problem solving  Prepare technical documentation (specifications, calculations, procedures)  Track, monitor, and present performance metrics  Support monthly reporting and documentation standards  Student Qualifications:  Currently enrolled in a full‑time Engineering degree  Completed a minimum of one year of post‑secondary studies  Returning to full‑time studies following the work term or require a co‑op term to graduate  Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and safety mindset  Why Join Bruce Power as a Student?
