Campus Staff Minister I – UF/Mid-Florida (Undergraduate Ministry) Work Location: Florida Job Type: Full time God has called InterVarsity to plant and to build witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus on college and university campuses. Through these groups, we believe ever- increasing numbers of students and faculty from all ethnic groups and areas of the campus will be transformed by the Gospel.

We expect to see campuses increasingly become places where people, ideas, and structures flourish to the glory of God. We confidently anticipate that our InterVarsity alumni will become change agents across the country and around the world. We pursue this calling by discerning and actively participating in what God is already doing on campus. This is the essence of being a Campus Staff Minister (CSM).

We are looking for a Campus Staff Minister who can gather a thriving community of students in a campus environment full of competing options. Ideally, this CSM will be able to engage UF's diverse student body — across ethnicities and cultures, majors and career tracks, and a wide range of interests and backgrounds — building genuine connection wherever students are. UF presents its own distinct ministry challenge and opportunity: as a flagship research university with more than 60,000 students in the classic college town of Gainesville, it offers a large and energetic mission field shaped by strong school spirit, packed schedules, and a culture where students often measure their time by labs, internships, and career-building.

A CSM here will need to compete not just with other ministries but with a campus rhythm that prizes achievement and involvement, finding ways to invite students into deeper community amid packed academic and extracurricular calendars. UF's student body is also broad and varied, meaning an effective CSM must be able to connect across difference rather than defaulting to a single cultural mode of ministry.

And because Gainesville's identity is so tightly bound to the university itself, this role calls for someone who can help students see their faith as central to who they are as Gators, not just one more activity competing for their attention.
