Job Summary The Center for Precision Psychiatry (CPP) at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking applications for a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to coordinate and administer projects led by Dr. Matthew Nock aimed at better understanding short-term suicide risk and evaluating innovative interventions to prevent suicidal behaviors. This position is particularly well-suited for individuals interested in pursuing graduate training in psychology, public health, medicine, or related fields.

The CRC will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary research team and play an integral role in the day-to-day execution of several studies. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting study start-up activities, participant recruitment and screening, REDCap database management and survey administration, longitudinal participant follow-up via text, phone call, and email, coordination of study documentation, assistance with IRB submissions and correspondence, and other project-related administrative and research activities.

This role offers exposure to many aspects of clinical research and provides opportunities to work closely with investigators, clinical partners, and research staff across multiple settings. We view the CRC as an important member of our team and are committed to providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. The position will involve working alongside colleagues at MGB, Harvard, and affiliate hospitals (e.g., Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital).

This variety provides a unique opportunity to gain experience across academic, clinical, and community-based research environments. Experience working with clinically severe or suicidal populations and strong interpersonal skills are strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, writing, and computer skills are highly desirable. Experience with ecological momentary assessment, statistical software, research databases, or prior supervision and leadership responsibilities is also valued.

Summary Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Additionally, it provides input into determining study subject suitability and input into recruitment strategy.

Performs data analysis, interpretation, QA/QC, and assists in completing reports and presentations. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Assists with determining the suitability of study subjects and acts as a resource for patients and families. -Has input into recruitment strategies and may contribute to protocol recommendations. -Administers scores and evaluates study questionnaires.

-Maintains research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases. -Performs data analysis and QA/QC checks and organizes and interprets data. -Assists with preparation for annual review and assists PI in completing study reports and presentations. -May assist with training and orientation of new staff members.
