Agency Adult Correction Division COO - OPS - Institutions Operations Job Classification Title Correctional Case Manager (S) Position Number 60069766 Grade NC07 About Us The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.

This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters! Description of Work This position is assigned to Greene Correctional Institution in Maury, NC.

Employees in this class are assigned a caseload of inmates, which involves supportive counseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, answering and following up on inmate questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Employees assist in major dynamic programs or coordinate major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of inmates, such as inmate work assignments, work release, education, or recreation; as well as transition planning and coordinating.

Employees in this class plan and coordinate transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community. They must have the ability to develop, implement, coordinate, and supervise a program within the framework of policies and procedures of Prisons. Ability to communicate effective, both orally and in writing. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences: Salary Range:  37,377 - 65,408 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. About the Division of Institutions : The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.
