What to Expect ? We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team!
They will be responsible for design ing , build ing , and maintain ing the infrastructure and pipelines that enable data collection, storage, and access for analysis and other applications. As well as transforming raw data into usable formats, ensuring data quality and security, and collaborating with various teams to support data-driven decision-making. This role requires one day on site in our Covington location weekly.
On a daily basis our Data Engineer: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS. Build and manage data warehouse schemas, models, and processes in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. Optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for performance and reliability. Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Establish and enforce data quality standards, data governance practices, and documentation. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, proactively resolving issues to ensure data availability and accuracy. Participate in code reviews, architectural design discussions, and engineering best practices. Evaluate and integrate emerging data technologies to modernize the data platform. What You Will Need: Experience & Education 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience . Microsoft Data Stack Advanced proficiency in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database, including T-SQL development and query optimization. Hands-on experience building and maintaining SSIS packages for complex ETL workflows. Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, linked services, triggers, data flows).
