Overview Fortune is hiring a results-driven Director, Audience Recruitment to lead audience acquisition and recruitment for its live events and conferences. This role is responsible for developing and executing innovative, data-driven marketing strategies that engage top executives, drive attendance, build qualified pipelines, and optimize event revenue. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and brings a strong understanding of B2B sales and marketing, including demand generation, pipeline management, lead qualification , and conversion optimization.
Key Responsibilities Develop and lead multi-channel audience recruitment strategies that define target audience profiles, priority segments, acquisition goals, and recruitment tactics for Fortune’s live events and conferences. Establish clear goals, prioritiz e work, support professional growth, and ensur e high-quality execution across the team. Partner closely with event s , sales, marketing , data, and product teams to align marketing activity with revenue goals, attendee acquisition targets, and customer needs.
Build and manage marketing funnels , from audience identification and outreach through registration and attendance. Manage CRM , landing pages, and registration systems to ensure data integrity, campaign setup, audience segmentation, reporting accuracy, and efficient handoffs between marketing and sales. Identify , source, validate , and maintain targeted invitation lists that maximize executive engagement, registration, attendance, and revenue potential.
Oversee email marketing strategy and execution, including audience segmentation, messaging, creative development, list management, scheduling, testing, deliverability, and performance analysis. Lead paid digital marketing initiatives across platforms including LinkedIn , Google , and telemarketing , optimizing investment, targeting, reach, conversion, and cost per acquisition. Analyze campaign and pipeline performance using data and analytics tools; translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve ROI, conversion rates, attendance, and revenue.
Collaborate with internal teams on social media, newsletters, content, promotional strategies, and executive outreach to expand reach and engagement. Set, manage, and exceed audience, pipeline, registration, attendance, and revenue targets while effectively managing budgets and optimizing marketing spend. Lead project planning and workflow across concurrent events and campaigns, ensuring deadlines, priorities, resources, and performance expectations are clearly managed.
Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in audience acquisition, event marketing, demand generation, B2B marketing, sales, or executive-level engagement. Experience m entoring and developing a team of marketing professionals, including marketing managers. Demonstrated experience building and managing marketing funnels, with an understanding of lead generation, lead qualification, conversion, customer acquisition, and revenue attribution.
Strong experience with CRM, marketing automation, and registration platforms. Proven success developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, paid digital, social media, content, and executive outreach. Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to assess marketing and pipeline performance, forecast results, manage budgets, and optimize investment. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and collaborate effectively across functions.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and events with overlapping deadlines while maintaining quality, precision, and strategic focus. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required . Location This role will be based in our NYC headquarters with hybrid flexibility.
