Facilities Engineering Field Technician

Facilities Professional SME The Opportunity: As a facilities professional, you understand how essential field accuracy, documentation quality, and coordinated analysis are in supporting installation infrastructure and operations. We need a motivated facilities spe cia list who can contribute to facilities operations, maintenance analysis, quality assurance, and engineering planning activities for the Marine Corps.

On our team, you’ll support multiple facility‑focused functions that enhance installation readiness. You’ll assist with documenting facility conditions, validating field data, and helping identify discrepancies that require government review. You’ll contribute to operations and maintenance ( O & M ) analysis by helping collect asset information, reviewing basic system performance data, and preparing documentation that informs installation‑level maintenance decisions.

You’ll support field quality assurance by capturing observations, assisting with compliance checks, and documenting issues discovered during site visits. You’ll also assist engineering planning by supporting scoping inputs, organizing field data, and contributing to planning documentation needed for future projects. Working alongside Public Works, engineering teams, and installation stakeholders, you’ll help ensure information flowing into planning, quality assurance, and O & M processes is accurate, timely, and mission‑aligned.

You Have: Knowledge of facility operations, basic maintenance workflows, field documentation practices, or facility lifecycle concepts Ability to assist with documentation, data entry, field condition validation, or basic planning inputs Ability to coordinate with stakeholders to support documentation, scheduling, scoping, or quality assurance review requirements Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience supporting facilities management, facilities operations, maintenance documentation, asset management support, or infrastructure validation, or Master’s degree and 1+ years of experience supporting facilities management, facilities operations, maintenance documentation, asset management support, or infrastructure validation Nice If You Have: Experience supporting Marine Corps commands, Navy commands, or other DoD installation organizations Experience conducting facility field observations, supporting QA checks, or contributing to O & M analyses Experience supporting data analysis, dashboard inputs, asset information updates, or documentation quality reviews Knowledge of facility condition assessments, operations and maintenance processes, or installation planning workflows Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred ; Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, or a related field a plus Facilities or Project Management Certification s such as CFM and PMP Certification s Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
