Learn more about OTT at www.ott.com The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for executing field work within Hydrology & Meteorology for OTT’s service operations in France, as well as on international projects when required.

This role requires a combination of software proficiency and hands-on electronic skills. This position requires 70% -80% travel. Key Responsibilities Ensuring service projects are completed timely and profitably Independent, deadline-related execution of installations as well as maintenance / fault diagnosis and repairs on site (if necessary also via remote maintenance) with subsequent elimination of the fault Preparation of service reports and documentation as a follow-up to the installation or repair of defective equipment on site with details of the work carried out, the time required for the installation or repair (for invoicing) Commissioning and performing functional tests (sometimes using computer-controlled test equipment) based on test plans and specifications Cooperation with other departments (e.g.

system analysis, quality assurance, R&D) and support of customers on service-relevant topics via telephone and/or e-mail Providing effective and specialist product knowledge and customer support Ensure accurate and on time contract / service invoicing Support Sales teams with complex service quotes and contract agreements where required Work closely with service team and administration to ensure professional customer visit planning and execution Disassembly and assembly of electrical, mechanical and electronic products Adheres to field service policies, procedures and standards Other relevant duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications A DUT in Physical Measurements or equivalent is required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical environment; hands-on field service experience is essential.

Accuracy and attention to detail; Methodical and familiar with check & test procedures Effective personal and project time management and ability to manage multiple tasks Strong self-sufficiency required: ability to work independently in an office environment, manage assignments (scheduling customer appointments, ordering consumables for field installations, writing intervention reports), and work closely with the Project Manager and Sales Support Administrators for project billing.
