Labcorp is seeking an RCM Accounts Receivable Intern to join our Finance Team located in Burlington, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Work Schedule: Days/Hours: Monday–Friday / 9:00 AM–5:00 PM / 40 hours per week Job Responsibilities: Support strategic initiatives focused on Accounts Receivable, billing processes, and revenue cycle improvement efforts.
Analyze data and customer feedback to identify trends and process improvement opportunities. Support an RCM margin initiative focused on eClaims Assist and its use within physician office billing processes. Partner with Sales to gather customer feedback and evaluate interest in and potential use of eClaims Assist. Assist with Sales engagement and analysis to support project recommendations and next steps.
Collaborate with AR Support leadership, Sales, and operational teams on project activities. Organize and analyze project data to support informed business decisions. Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle processes, efficiency, and customer experience. Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program. Working towards a degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional Job Standards: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics. Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential business applications. Strong project organization skills. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively across teams and with different business stakeholders. Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt as project needs evolve.

The team works closely with Sales and operational partners to evaluate opportunities that support revenue cycle performance and key margin initiatives. As a member of the team, the intern will gain hands-on experience supporting a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) margin initiative involving eClaims Assist , a tool used in physician office billing processes. The intern will work with AR Support leadership, Sales, and operational teams to analyze data, gather customer feedback, evaluate potential use of the tool, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
