Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Noninvasive Prenatal Diagnostics Intern to join our Research and Development Team located in San Diego, CA! Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday / 40hrs per week Job Responsibilities: Develop cutting edge noninvasive prenatal diagnostic tests. Become familiar with statistical programs to analyze and visualize data. Extract valuable insights for informed decision making.

Develop a wide variety of technical skills, potentially including multiplex PCR, digital PCR, mass spectrometry, short and/or long-read sequencing. Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Systems Biology, Biochemistry or Biomedical Engineering Preferred Qualifications: 3-6 months experience working with nucleic acids, proteins, and PCR 3-6 months experience and/or knowledge of next-generation sequencing technology Additional Job Standards: Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision Have a genuine interest in laboratory science Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly Good laboratory practice and documentation.

Internship 2027 Dates: June 1, 2027-August 13, 2027 About the Team: The Labcorp Diagnostics Research and Development team focusses on developing and improving laboratory tests for various diagnostic purposes such as oncology, genetics, and infectious disease. The team at the Labcorp-Sequenom site in San Diego primarily works with cell-free DNA for non-invasive prenatal screening. You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of the R&D team and closely with the clinical lab.
