Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: The Livelihood & Resilience Specialist will provide strategic technical and management support to the Livelihood (LH) programming (including food security portfolio in the National Office, working specifically with area programmes in Indonesia.
S/he will work directly with LH area programme staff and operations teams, overseeing the Integrated Program Framework (IPF) budget for the respective zone, and providing technical support for project implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This position will also provide strategic technical support to LH in emergencies or Response situations if needed. This position responsible for Livelihood & Resilience Specialist.
This position will also ensure that quality Livelihoods programming is integrated across the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes of Wahana Visi Indonesia’s work across all programmes in Indonesia. Strategy Development & Planning Develop detailed implementation plans for the projects, aligned with food security and livelihood programmes, and coordinate their implementation Actively participate in the preparation, conduct and supervision of monitoring and evaluation activities and need assessment surveys within the implementation areas.
Develop and manage food security and climate-resilient agriculture projects aligned with long-term resilience goals. This includes creating, reviewing, and evaluating innovative technical guidelines to ensure all programming meets international humanitarian standards and donor compliance requirements. Coordinate emergency livelihood programming within the assigned zone during crises, directly overseeing implementation, budgeting, and quality assurance.
Collect and analyze real-time field data to produce comprehensive reports that help grant acquisition teams secure funding. Develop, review and evaluate the integration of food security and climate-resilient agriculture programming to support inclusive growth to support social inclusion outcome and green growth to support environmental outcome. Resource Acquisition & Management Provide budgeting framework of Livelihood Resilience programming interventions to ensure the effectiveness of related projects and programs, both in emergency and development context.
Provide leadership in the acquisition of Livelihood Resilience programming funding, to ensure the projects reach the intended beneficiaries and achieved and intended outcomes in alignment with the context, humanitarian needs and response strategy as well as operational feasibility and technical quality Focus on forecasts and intelligent research related with donor strategies, lead proposal development and prepositioning for solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities for the sector in coordination with RDC .
Capacity Building and Technical Support Provide technical support to AP staff for Livelihood Resilience Programmes assessment, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation Coordinate and facilitate Livelihoods orientation and refresher trainings for area programme staff within respective Area Program Support and/or facilitate capacity building of LH area programme staff, including coaching on specific interventions within LH Core Project Models Support Livelihoods competency development for area programme LH staff Contextualise relevant training and teaching materials for LH projects for various stakeholders including community elders, faith leaders, parents and caregivers, and other local partners or volunteers.
