Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to become part of our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of our Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff while helping ensure the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members.

M19: Surgical Special Suites 18-bed inpatient oncology surgical unit specializing in gynecological   surgery , plastic   surgery , and   Ophthalmology Radiation & Amenities Program   services. The unit cares for high-profile patients, often referred to as a “ amenities ” unit. Care on this unit encompasses Breast Plastic reconstructive surgery, and general medical-surgical oncology populations   car ing   for all patients and no special rations for the amenities program .

The environment is   fast paced , requiring strong multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care and   optimal   patient outcomes. Role Overview:   Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner  Handle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism  Responsible for taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting specimens  Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures as needed  Use basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentation  Key Qualifications:   Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience in one or more of the following roles:   Nursing Assistant (NA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  OR   If less than 2 years of experience:  A Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months, AND  At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in one of the roles listed above  BLS certification required by time of hire  Epic EMR experience preferred  Core Skills:   Excited to work as part of a care-giving, patient-centered team, with the ability to build positive relationships and deliver patient-focused care  A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and approaches challenges with urgency, energy, and compassion  Adept at collaboration and partnership-building to achieve shared goals and objectives  A thoughtful decision-maker with demonstrated ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment  Additional Information Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY Schedule: Nights Three 12-hour shifts 7pm-7:30am; Monday through Friday, rotating weekends and holidays Helpful Links : MSK Compensation Philosophy Review Our Greats Benefits Offerings   Pay Range: $24.05 - $36.21   FSLA Status: Non-Exempt   Closing : At MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.
