 Practice Details Marshfield Medical Center - Stevens Point is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join our established and growing primary care practice in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
- 100% outpatient practice that can support flexible scheduling - Flexible 4-day work week if desired - Join a great collegial group of physicians and APCs - Work in collaboration with multiple specialists located on-site and throughout the system - Nurse line is 1st call and with easy call schedule (phone call only) - Excellent work-life balance (support for job sharing) - Beautiful clinic is attached to a hospital with ER and Urgent Care - Stevens Point is a safe and affordable university community that is centrally located in the state Option A: Full Time Clinical Role Option B: Full Time Clinical (80%) and Community Project Engagement (20%) Protected Time Dedicated to a Community Health Project Through a grant from the Orion Initiative, a grant program within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, [provider] is able to offer 20% protected time for three years for a physician to lead a community health project.
That means 20% of the physician’s time in this full-time position will be dedicated to a community health project, with the remaining 80% focused on clinical care. This is a unique opportunity for physicians who want to make an impact beyond the clinic walls while addressing a health need in the community. A community health project is a project that: • Serves the community where the rural hospital or clinic is located or a community within its service area • Seeks to improve health or address a specific health condition or broader determinant of health, such as healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and control or environmental factors that negatively impact health • Does not involve political campaign activity, lobbying or partisan advocacy We strongly encourage our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come.

 Job Description Family Medicine Core Privileges includes the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems.
This includes the pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care of surgical patients and return to work issues.
