Verifies that documentation aligns with clinical requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory guidelines. Ensures all required forms, consents, authorizations, and supporting documents are correctly completed and attached. Identifies gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information and flags them for corrective action.
Reviews medical necessity, supporting documents, physician orders, and clinical notes required for medical record requests or billing processes. Desired Skills: Medical terminology knowledge—strong understanding of clinical terms, diagnoses, procedures, and abbreviations Good communication & framing emails Knowledge of clinical documentation standards Understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance) Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Ability to interpret physician notes, lab reports, discharge summaries, and operative reports Quality assurance and audit skills
