A Day in Your Life at MKS: As Senior Regional Security Manager, you will work to keep MKS people and assets safe from a diverse set of security risks. The role will be hybrid or remote to meet the needs of the business. This role will be part of the Global Security team, primarily within the APAC region, reporting directly to the Chief Security Officer. You will oversee and implement security strategies and operations within a designated geographical region.
This role requires a strong understanding of security protocols, risk assessment methodology, and emergency response procedures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading risk-based security teams and managing complex security challenges. This role will champion, work directly on, and support the business with all Global Security programs, sub-programs, and functions. These include but are not limited to the following: Core Security Requirements – Security risk assessments, incident and crisis management support, and threat management.
Site Security – Physical/electronic security guards, procedures, and procedures. Human Factors in Security – Workplace violence, high-risk terminations, investigations, industrial action, insider threat. Geospatial Security – Travel risk management, executive protection planning and coordination, and event security. Own, lead, and implement Core Global Security Programs by adapting them to Regional and Country needs and engaging with Divisional, Functional and Country leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure buy-in. Assist the CSO in recruiting, hiring, and training security personnel. Have and maintain advanced subject matter expertise in security management, technology, and trends in the industry and region.
Provide expert security advice and perspective to senior managers and other stakeholders such that security issues are thoroughly evaluated, innovative approaches developed, and optimal solutions implemented; and develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting people, facilities, and business. Support, guidance, and training to Site Security Managers ("SSM") and on-site Security Guards to ensure they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet corporate standards and customer needs.
Develop and guide Site Senior Leaders to measure the effectiveness of physical security at MKS sites and collaborate with other managers, leaders, and stakeholders to assess security risks, security services, and systems, provide innovative solutions, and develop improvement roadmaps. Develop and manage threats to MKS by leading cross-functional efforts in dimensioning and mitigating significant security, cultural, and legal risks with Regional and Country level impact by working with stakeholders and peers in other functions and through the business, and mentor case leaders assigned workplace violence, theft, and other security-based investigations as required.
Manage all travel security requirements for national and international travels, including pre-travel compliance process, training, and support during travel. This will include responses to emergencies and incidents. Assist the business with incident and crisis management matters as required, both functionally within the Global Security capacity across all core Global Security sub-functions and with the incident/crisis management framework.
Develop and manage applicable budgets with the CSO. Monitor expenses, ensure cost-effective security solutions, and report financial risks and opportunities to the CSO.
