Salary You will be paid a basic annual salary of £27,073.80 per annum Shunter / Cleaner Based at our Thanet depot Located at Westwood Garage, Margate Road, Ramsgate, Kent CT12 6SL Pay rate of £13.35 per hour Shift pattern: 39 hours a week on a rota. At Stagecoach, our Bus Depot Service Assistants play a vital behind‑the‑scenes role in keeping our buses clean, safe, and ready to hit the road.
You’ll be an essential part of a supportive team helping to maintain a modern fleet as our depots continue to evolve, with low‑emission and electric vehicles. What you’ll be doing: Fuelling and oiling our fleet of buses and coaches Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes using approved equipment Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts when needed Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment Supporting your team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation What we’re looking for: A UK driving licence A positive, can-do attitude and pride in doing a job well Strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping things clean and safe A team player who communicates clearly and supports others Willingness to learn, we’ll train you on everything you need to know Why choose Stagecoach?
