Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty department and, as appropriate, regional campus; Clinical faculty are teacher/practitioners and will be engaged primarily in teaching activities. These faculty normally have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.
Additional Information: Assistant or Associate Professor in Small Animal Oncologic Surgery Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine Position Overview The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine announces an outstanding opportunity for a full-time clinical faculty position in Small Animal Oncologic Surgery at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
The appointee would be joining two other surgical oncology faculty within the department. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient management, client service, and clinical teaching. Specialty board certification (ACVS) and the title of ACVS Fellow, Surgical Oncology are required . The appointee will join the Integrated Oncology Service within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences which currently consists of eight faculty positions (two surgical oncologists, four medical oncologists, and two radiation oncologists) as well as six medical oncology residents, one radiation oncology resident, one surgical oncology research intern and one surgical oncology fellow candidate.
The appointee will also be within the Small Animal Surgery Section consisting of nine additional full-time surgeons. Clinical-track candidates will have up to 65% of their time assigned to clinical service including patient management, client service, clinical teaching of students and advanced training of interns, residents and fellows.
