As a Test Engineer II, you will play a key role in the development, integration, verification, and validation of complex electromechanical medical device systems. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with software, electrical, mechanical, quality, regulatory, operations, supply chain, and R&D teams to evaluate system performance, develop test methods and capabilities, and advance innovative products through the product development lifecycle.

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, this onsite position provides hands-on access to laboratory environments, prototype systems, and cross-functional engineering teams. You will contribute to meaningful technologies that improve patient outcomes while gaining broad exposure across multiple engineering disciplines. Travel is minimal. Check us out on LinkedIn: Medtronic ENT The Test Engineer II supports verification and validation activities for complex medical device systems by developing test methods, executing system-level testing, designing test fixtures and automation solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance products through the development lifecycle.

This role contributes to system integration, design reviews, defect investigation, and validation efforts while helping ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) test plans, protocols, analyses, and reports supporting system, subsystem, and component requirements. Integrate software, electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical subsystems to perform verification testing across development and simulated-use environments.

Design, develop, validate, and maintain automated or semi-automated test fixtures, emulators, and non-product software used to support verification activities. Evaluate design inputs and requirements to establish verification strategies, traceability documentation, and regulatory-compliant quality artifacts. Identify, document, investigate, and track software and hardware defects discovered through automated and manual testing activities.

Support specification, integration, and bring-up of custom electronics and data acquisition systems used within test platforms. Participate in code, design, and technical reviews to improve testability, requirements coverage, and product quality. Collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory, Program Management, Research & Development, Operations, and Engineering teams to support product development through multiple lifecycle phases.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, or Advanced Degree with 0 years of experience. Experience developing and executing test methods, verification activities, or validation activities for electromechanical, software-enabled, or regulated products.
