The Test Engineering team develops, implements, and supports automated test solutions for complex electro-mechanical and electronic products. This role is strongly focused on hardware engineering, including the design, integration, troubleshooting, and validation of test equipment used to support manufacturing and new product introduction. The successful candidate will have strong hardware engineering fundamentals, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design or procure automated test systems, support installation and validation, troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues, and drive improvements in test performance, reliability, and efficiency. A Day in The Life Of: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Design, develop, integrate, and support automated hardware test systems for electro-mechanical products.

Develop and maintain test specifications for in-circuit and functional test processes. Provide technical support for production test operations and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, and system-level test failures to root cause. Diagnose and resolve issues with test fixtures, instrumentation, interfaces, cabling, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Analyze test data and performance trends to improve yield, reliability, and test coverage.

Maintain, repair, and optimize electronic and mechanical test systems. Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new test equipment and hardware platforms. Identify and implement opportunities for hardware and process improvement. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with environmental, health, and safety requirements, as well as applicable quality and regulatory standards. Key Skills & Experience Minimum Level 8 degree in Electronic Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in electronic design, hardware engineering, and/or test development.

Strong hardware engineering background, with hands-on experience in test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and electro-mechanical systems. Experience with automated test systems and embedded hardware platforms. Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts. Practical troubleshooting skills across analog, digital, power, and interface circuits. Experience with motors, sensors, actuators, and mechanical system integration.

Exposure to low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments, preferably involving capital equipment. Experience supporting design transfer, production implementation, or manufacturing process changes. Familiarity with validation, verification, and test process documentation. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, DMAIC, or other continuous improvement tools. Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
