At MiniMed, you can begin a lifelong career of exploration and innovation, while helping make a difference in the lives of people living with diabetes around the globe. You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world. About the Role Join MiniMed's Juncos, Puerto Rico Innovation Center and play a key role in designing and developing tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing solutions that support production, new product introduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Technical teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective tooling solutions that strengthen our manufacturing capabilities. Ready to make an impact? Apply today! Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, machine attachments, prototypes, and other manufacturing solutions for production and experimental use.

Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and other technical documentation required for fabrication and implementation. Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, and mechanical design principles to ensure tooling meets functional, dimensional, safety, and manufacturing requirements. Conduct and participate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews with technical stakeholders.

Support tooling requirements for new product introduction, validation and qualification activities, capacity expansion, production ramp-up, and sustaining manufacturing. Collaborate directly with Machinists and Toolmakers during fabrication, assembly, and implementation to resolve technical and manufacturability issues and ensure successful fit and function. Troubleshoot existing tooling and develop repairs, modifications, or redesigns to improve reliability, repeatability, quality, uptime, and ease of use.

Provide technical support for NCMRs, CAPAs, manufacturing escapes, and other quality investigations when tooling design, fabrication, or performance may contribute to the issue. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, standardization, repair, reuse, internal fabrication, and insourcing, including make-versus-buy evaluations when appropriate. Support tooling implementation through development or review of inspection requirements, acceptance criteria, risk assessments, validation documentation, and related technical deliverables.

Coordinate with internal functions and external suppliers for materials, specialized components, machining, fabrication, and secondary processing as required. Support development and standardization of Innovation Center engineering practices, technical capabilities, lessons learned, and cross-training activities.
