Reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Undergraduate student must be enrolled in at least 12 enrollment hours for Fall and/or Spring semester(s): Fall: 8/16 – 12/31 Spring: 1/1 – 5/15 Purpose This Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) will assist with a federally funded research project focused on exploring the use of virtual reality mindfulness intervention to improve the HIV, substance use, and mental health outcomes among people living with HIV who also use substances.

Responsibilities Recruit and schedule participants. Conduct study orientation sessions with participants (in-person or via Zoom). Provide ongoing participant support. Assist with data collection, including administering surveys, conducting interviews or focus groups (in-person or via Zoom), and helping participants complete study procedures. Manage research records and documentation. Assist with community outreach activities.

Attend weekly team meetings. Other research opportunities & duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin must be enrolled in at least 12 enrollment hours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable engaging with community members and representing the study in public settings. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Excited about community-engaged research and working with various populations. Interested in behavioral health, technology-based interventions, HIV research, or public health.

Prior research or community work experience. Salary Range $18 Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions.
