Fall/Winter School Program Seasonal Naturalist Assistant - Mobile Outreach

The Fall/Winter School Program Seasonal Naturalist Assistant supports the efforts of Mobile Outreach staff with educational programs, community events, office work, animal care, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. This is a short-term, entry-level opportunity designed to help candidates develop professional skills in the field of Outdoor Experiences. Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required.

All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. Provides outdoor educational programs that serve to enhance Cleveland Metroparks conservation, education and outdoor recreation mission and to promote environmental education and stewardship. Assists with environmental education programs within the park district and at off-site locations.

Participates in community events or projects as assigned. Demonstrates organizational skills including verbal communication, problem solving, and conflict management. Drives Park District vehicles to transport equipment as required. Assists in maintaining and prepping equipment and program materials. Performs light maintenance functions.
