IV Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing (sterile and non-sterile) and distributing medications, entering medication orders into the pharmacy computer system, issuing narcotics, restocking automated dispensing devices, surgery, floor stock areas, crash carts and fire medic kits, processing patient charges and credits and maintaining the drug inventory. They work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
