Med Ex Student Intern

St. Mary’s Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital offer a paid MedEx Student Internship designed to provide high school students with hands-on patient care experience in a clinical setting under appropriate clinical supervision. The internship is a work-based learning opportunity for high school seniors who have successfully completed the required MedEx coursework and are participating in the MedEx program in Cabell or Wayne County.

Students select a health career pathway for in-depth study in either Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant. The paid internship is planned to begin in December 2026 or January 2027, with the final start date to be confirmed.
