Job at a glance
Provide legal advice on product compliance, including consumer protection, safety, labeling, and industry standards. Oversee import and export compliance, ensuring adherence to U.S. and international trade laws, sanctions, and customs regulations. Advise on tariff impacts and trade policy developments, collaborating with supply chain, logistics, and finance teams. Lead compliance efforts in privacy and data protection laws (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), including drafting and reviewing policies, procedures, and contracts.
Monitor, assess, and advise on AI-related regulations and their impact on business operations, products, and services. Develop and implement internal compliance policies, training programs, and risk management frameworks. Partner with business leaders, product teams, and regulators to proactively manage compliance risks. Support audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Manage outside counsel and collaborate with cross-border legal teams as needed.
