This is a great opportunity for someone with food preparation or kitchen experience who wants a consistent weekday schedule in a positive childcare environment - without restaurant nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to established menus Follow appropriate portion sizes and meal schedules Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen Properly store, label, rotate, and monitor food and supplies Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Maintain awareness of children's allergies and dietary restrictions Distribute meals and snacks to classrooms Wash dishes and maintain kitchen equipment and food preparation areas Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to center leadership Maintain required food service documentation Work collaboratively with teachers and center leadership Follow Wisconsin childcare, health, sanitation, and food safety requirements Qualifications Previous professional cooking, kitchen, or food preparation experience preferred Experience preparing food for children, schools, childcare programs, or group settings is a plus Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Ability to accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions Must meet applicable Wisconsin requirements for the position What We Offer $17-$20 per hour, based on experience Consistent full-time Monday-Friday schedule No restaurant nights or weekends Health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees 401(k) with available company match Paid time off Employee childcare discount Supportive, family-focused work environment If you're looking to bring your kitchen experience into a weekday environment where your work helps fuel children's learning and growth, apply today to join The Learning Experience - Oak Creek.
