Immediate need for a talented AI Engineer. This is an 18 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is location in Jersey City NJ/Charlotte NC (Hybrid). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities :Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data and AI applications, often leveraging emerging and cutting-edge technologiesArchitect and deliver enterprise-scale GenAI solutions, including summarization engines and chatbot applicationsApply sound judgment in selecting methods, tools, and evaluation criteria within broadly defined practices and policiesProvide technical leadership by owning deliverables, assigning work, and resolving complex technical issuesTranslate business strategy and requirements into actionable technical solutionsEnsure solutions comply with model governance and risk management standardsCollaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT partners, and external vendorsKey Requirements and Technology Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) in a related IS/IT discipline, or equivalent professional experienceTypically 10 years of overall IT experience, including leadership on complex, enterprise initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly2 years of professional experience executing end-to-end Generative AI projects using:Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA)MCP (skills-based orchestration)Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph)LLM development frameworks ( LangChain, LlamaIndex)Embedding models (e.g., all-MiniLM-L6-v2, nomic-ai)Evaluation frameworks ( RAGAS, LangSmith, Phoenix/Arize)REST APIs, FastAPI, WebSocketsEnterprise data stores ( Redis, MongoDB)Strong Python programming expertiseFrontend experience with Angular is a significant plusAre you looking for remote jobs near your area?
