Emergency Department Technician Job Summary/Purpose Assists with patient admissions, outpatients, and inpatients within the Emergency Department and other clinical areas as necessary. Responsible for clerical duties associated with patient care and provides assistance with patient care for individuals ranging from newborns to geriatrics, as directed by the Emergency Department Manager, Medical Director, and designated unit delegates.
Department Description The Emergency Department delivers care to patients with diverse medical needs, spanning from non-critical to emergent conditions, including urgent mental health care. All patients are welcomed, whether they arrive independently or through emergency transport. The staff is certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma cases, including pediatric patients. Experience/Education/Qualifications Current unencumbered Oregon EMT, AEMT, or EMT-I upon submission.
Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. Experience or training in computer applications is required. Previous Emergency Department experience is preferred. Shift Information Days (0700-1930) with rotating weekends. Holiday coverage is also required. Minimum Years of Experience 1 year Certifications / Requirements BLS/BCLS certification is mandatory.
