Associate Pastor of Family & Worship Tilly Swamp Baptist Church | Conway, SC Full-Time Position | Competitive Salary + Benefits | Parsonage Available Tilly Swamp Baptist Church is seeking a passionate, energetic, and spiritually mature Associate Pastor of Family & Worship to join our ministry team. We are looking for a man who loves Jesus, has a heart for reaching the next generation, and is gifted in leading engaging, Christ-centered worship.
Family Ministry Responsibilities - Oversee all children's and student ministries (infant–12th grade).- Provide hands-on leadership for students (6th–12th grade) on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.- Oversee and support Children's Ministry leadership (infant–5th grade).- Build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and families.- Recruit, train, and develop teen and adult ministry leaders.- Connect with local schools and the community through intentional outreach and relationship building.- Develop engaging, biblically sound discipleship opportunities.
Worship Ministry Responsibilities - Lead Sunday morning worship, including our praise band and choir.- Help transition our current blended worship service toward a dynamic, fully contemporary worship experience that engages youth, young adults, and families.- Strong vocal ability preferred, confident stage presence, and the ability to lead energetic, authentic, and theologically sound worship.- Recruit, develop, and equip musicians, vocalists, and worship team members.- Oversee music, sound, lighting, and media ministries, including volunteer scheduling and training.- Instrumental ability is helpful but not required.
Qualifications - A clear calling to pastoral ministry and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.- Strong commitment to the authority and proclamation of God's Word.- A passion for evangelism, discipleship, and reaching families.- Ability to effectively lead two ministry areas through team building, delegation, and leadership development.- Ability to fill the pulpit when needed for the Senior Pastor.- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.- Agreement with and commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention.- Previous ministry experience and theological education preferred.
