Position SummaryOperates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.LocationOshawaScheduleFulltime - Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays.What You Will DoOperate vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all MTO and company safety regulations.Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.Manage appropriate cargo documentation and provide necessary paperwork upon delivery of goods.Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.What You’ll BringMinimum 1 year experience required.International experience is also acceptable.Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class AZ / Class 1.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Highway runs across Ontario.Skills & CompetenciesShipping DocumentationMTO RegulationsLoading, Securing, and Unloading CargoMaintain Travel LogsTransport CargoVehicle Safety ChecksVehicle InspectionAccessibilityCanada Cartage is committed to adhering to the objectives and requirements outlined in the Accessible Canada Act (ACA).
