Chemical Engineer Expert | $100–$130/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async Contract AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced Chemical Engineers to help build process design and safety scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate and test model judgment. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay — ideal for engineers who want to apply deep technical expertise to cutting-edge AI development.

What You'll Do Design and document realistic process engineering scenarios for AI model evaluation Develop safety-critical case studies grounded in real-world chemical engineering practice Apply expertise in process design, process safety, or scale-up to create technically rigorous test content Clearly articulate process reasoning in written English for use in AI training and benchmarking Required Qualifications Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field 2+ years of experience in process, plant, or product engineering Strong depth in at least one of: process design, process safety, or scale-up Excellent written English communication skills for documenting technical reasoning Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week Compensation & Details Rate: $100–$130/hr depending on experience Schedule: Fully asynchronous, remote Payment: Paid weekly Department: Life, Physical, and Social Science If you have a strong chemical engineering background and want to contribute to the responsible development of AI systems, we'd love to hear from you.
