Director of Graphics and Print Design

Our client, a children’s apparel brand, is seeking a Graphic Art Director to join their New York City based team! The ideal candidate brings together creative vision, hands-on technical expertise, and team leadership, thriving in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.Responsibilities:Partner with Senior Design to define seasonal graphic direction, color stories, and art vision.Translate product strategy into cohesive graphic programs with Apparel Design.Drive innovation across techniques, execution, and AI tools.Review and elevate artwork from internal teams, freelancers, and vendors.Lead creation of placement prints, repeats, typography, and novelty graphics.Collaborate cross-functionally to meet cost, margin, and delivery goals.Ensure artwork is factory-ready and aligned with production capabilities.Deliver clean files with clear specs for color, scale, and execution.Partner with overseas vendors to resolve issues and maintain quality.Own graphic timelines and workflows for high-volume assortments.Streamline art intake, priorities, and deadlines.Ensure on-time delivery of colorways and production-ready files.Lead and mentor graphic and production teams.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field7-10+ years of relevant experienceExpert photoshop and illustrator skillsStrong understanding of screen printingCreative sketching skillsStrong sense of colorAbility to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environmentProactive team player with strong initiativeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIf this sounds like a good fit, please submit your resume to be considered for this opportunity!We suggest that you ensure you have updated your LinkedIn profile and that you start collecting your references early.
