Editorial & Media Practice Reviewer | $45–50/hr | Worldwide Remote Mercor is seeking experienced editorial and media professionals to audit AI-generated work product within their own field. This is not a content creation role — it's an expert review position where your professional judgment is the product. What You'll Do You'll review an AI agent's complete attempt at a realistic editorial or media task.

For each item, you'll evaluate four key dimensions: Task Authenticity: Is this a realistic task that would genuinely arise in this profession? Domain Accuracy: Are the standards, figures, regulations, and constraints factually correct — catching the subtle errors only a practitioner would notice? Grading Validity: Review eleven yes/no grader questions against the actual files and flag any disagreements with clear reasoning.

Score Defensibility: Apply your own professional band to the work and assess whether the reported score holds up. Each review takes approximately one hour. You will never be asked to redo or perform the underlying task. Who We're Looking For Apply to the role that genuinely reflects your background: Editors: 4+ years editing others' copy to a house style, with direct responsibility for published content.

News Analysts, Reporters & Journalists: 4+ years reporting and filing original stories with sourcing you personally stood behind. Film & Video Editors: 4+ years cutting finished pieces on professional timelines, delivered to a client or broadcast specification. Required Skills & Experience Deep, practitioner-level knowledge of your field — you've killed a story that wouldn't stand up, flagged a sourcing problem, or caught a legal/factual issue before publication Near-native business English proficiency, as every judgment requires a concise written rationale Comfort reviewing spreadsheets or PDFs and verifying that figures reconcile This role is a strong fit for professionals with real editorial accountability.

It is less suited to content marketers who write their own copy without an editorial chain, or those whose editing experience is limited to their own work.
