Job Title: Technical Engineering Manager Location: Remote (US time zone overlap) Compensation: Highly competitive Plexus has partnered with an early-stage perpetuals trading platform to hire its first Technical Engineering Manager. Fresh off a $5M raise, the team is building a high-performance perps exchange from the ground up, combining off-chain matching with on-chain settlement. This is a founding leadership hire reporting directly to the founders, with full ownership of the engineering function.
The Role: Own the matching engine and core trading path end to end, with a focus on correctness, latency and reliability Stay hands-on for the first 6-9 months across matching, infrastructure and delivery Put proper CI/CD, observability and engineering standards in place Hire, lead and grow the first engineering team of 3-5 What they’re looking for: 15+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years leading engineering teams Strong TypeScript/Node experience, plus Redis, gRPC and Postgres Background building matching engines, order books or exchange infrastructure Experience with perpetuals, derivatives or HyperEVM is a strong plus Interested?
