Join the Ag-Com Team Ag-Com LLC is seeking an experienced Road Service Technician to join our growing service department. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service in the field. As a Road Service Technician, you will operate a company-provided service truck and perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on agricultural, construction, and heavy equipment throughout our service area.
We are looking for a professional who values quality workmanship, communicates effectively with customers, and can confidently manage a service call from diagnosis through completion. Ag-Com is a family-owned farm equipment dealership and full-service repair shop based in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The company provides equipment sales, parts, rentals, and repair services, supporting customers throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
Service remains at the heart of the business, which began as a mobile agricultural repair operation. What You'll Do Operate a fully equipped Ag-Com road service truck Diagnose and repair agricultural and heavy equipment at customer locations Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and mechanical components Perform emergency breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance in the field Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding equipment issues and repair recommendations Collaborate with Ag-Com's service and parts departments to obtain parts, technical information, and support Accurately document labor hours, travel time, parts usage, and repair details Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle Represent Ag-Com professionally at farms, construction sites, and customer facilities Assist with shop repairs and service work when field service demand allows Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced technician who can be dispatched to a customer's farm or jobsite and independently diagnose and repair equipment issues.
Agricultural equipment experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with experience in: Heavy equipment Construction equipment Diesel trucks Fleet maintenance Mobile service operations Other mechanical or equipment repair industries Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are more important than experience with any specific equipment manufacturer. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of mechanical or equipment repair experience preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical diagnostics Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience using diagnostic software, service information systems, and mobile technology Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Dependable, organized, and self-motivated Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in varying weather and field conditions Why Ag-Com?
