You must have an active Texas RN license or a qualifying compact state license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. At least 1-2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience is required. Experience with electronic medical record systems is recommended. Skills in triage, critical care, and emergency response procedures are important 12.
